ID-ASD-PD Users Committee


The Intellectual Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Physical Disability Programs (ID-ASD-PD) User Committee members are the guardians of the rights of all individuals who receive care and/or services in a health and social services institution in Quebec. Their mission is to promote the improvement of users’ quality of life and to assess their satisfaction with the services provided by the institution.

During the AGM, the Centre de réadaptation de l’Ouest de Montréal (CROM) management clearly emphasized that enhancing communication will be a key priority moving forward.

We, the User Committee members, are committed to supporting this effort and fostering stronger engagement with users.

Your rights as a user are:

  1. Right to information
  2. Right to receive services
  3. Right to choose a professional or institution
  4. Right to receive care adapted to one's condition
  5. Right to consent to or to refuse care
  6. Right to participate in the decision-making process
  7. Right to be accompanied, assisted or represented
  8. Right to shelter/accommodation
  9. Right to receive services in English and/or in French
  10. Right to access one’s user’s file
  11. Right to the confidentiality of one’s user’s file
  12. Right to lodge a complaint
