By engaging with this page, you agree to respect the following netiquette guidelines.
Relevance and respect
We encourage you to share your comments, questions, and opinions, provided they are related to Santé Québec’s mission and expressed in a spirit of respect toward:
- other Internet users;
- employees, professionals, and partners;
- the organization itself.
All messages containing one or more of the following elements will not be tolerated and will be taken down:
- hateful, discriminatory, violent, defamatory, obscene, insulting, intimidating, or
- offensive statements;
- racist, sexist, xenophobic, homophobic, transphobic, or vulgar language;
- personal attacks or malicious insinuations.
Furthermore, messages in ALL CAPS (perceived to be yelling) or containing aggressive language may be taken down.
Protecting personal information
To ensure confidentiality and your security, it is strictly forbidden to post:
- information that makes it possible to identify a person (full name, address, telephone number, health insurance number, etc.);
- details related to a medical file or personal situation;
- private information about a staff member, a user, or their loved ones.
No complaints, clinical requests, or files can be dealt with on this page.

For all questions related to your physical health, call Info-Santé at 8-1-1, Option 1.
For all questions related to your mental health or social services, call Info-Social at 8-1-1, Option 2.
In case of an emergency, call 9-1-1.
Forbidden or inappropriate content
We reserve the right to take down, without notice:
- all illegal, threatening, or violence-inciting content;
- any content of a sexual, suggestive, explicit, or inappropriate nature;
- commercial, advertising, or promotional messages;
- political, religious, inflammatory, propaganda, or proselytizing content;
- off-topic, repetitive, incomprehensible, or spam content;
- hyperlinks to irrelevant or problematic sites;
- all content that contravenes copyright or that is published without the consent of people who can be seen or who are concerned.
Authenticity and identity
Exchanges on our platforms are not anonymous. We can reject or take down a comment in the following cases:
- the author’s identity is suspect;
- there is identity theft;
- the comments are from an anonymous or troll account.
Moderators
The social media accounts of Santé Québec Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal – Universitaire are moderated Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., except on statutory holidays. Under no circumstances can social media be used to obtain medical advice or intervention services.
Be aware that:
- all comments are read;
- we do not commit to answering all messages and questions;
- we will correct any erroneous information on our part as promptly as possible.
We reserve the right to:
- remove content that does not respect netiquette guidelines;
- block a user at any time, without prior warning;
- update these netiquette guidelines at any time.
Repeat violations policy
To maintain a safe and healthy environment for discussion, Santé Québec Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal – Universitaire follows an incremental intervention policy.
Once three comments from the same account have been removed for contravening the netiquette guidelines, Santé Québec Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal – Universitaire reserves the right to block the account on the relevant platform, without prior warning.
This approach is aimed at deterring recurrent behaviours that negatively affect the quality of discussions.
Language use
Exchanges take place in French, as required by the Québec’s Charte de la langue française. However, we can respond in English via private message when required.
Posting and Responsibility
The comments made by Internet users do not represent the views of Santé Québec Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal – Universitaire. By posting on our platforms, you:
- Accept that your comments may be visible for an indeterminate period of time and indexed by search engines;
- Are entirely responsible for the content you post.

Complaints are not addressed on this platform.
