Geronto-psychiatric and Geriatric Care Units
On each of the units in the Main Pavilion, there are two dining rooms and sitting areas with panoramic views of the Hospital’s grounds. The Hospital consists of 446 private rooms of which 330 are in the Main Pavilion. Rooms are assigned based on needs and availability at the time of admission. Rooms are set up with comfort in mind, and each resident has a window view, semi-private bathroom, living room, dining room, and bath/shower room.
Psychogeriatric Care Units
The layout in the Remembrance Pavilion, which consists of four special care units, is slightly different from the layout in the Main Pavilion. Each unit consists of three sectors, one of which may be closed, as needed. There are two television sets (one that plays English programs and another that plays French programs) in the sitting rooms adjacent to the dining rooms. A family room to be used by families is also provided in each unit for social gatherings and special celebrations. As needed, family members can use the room to stay the night.
