On November 6, as part of National Informal Caregivers Week, the loved ones of users living with an intellectual physical disability, autism spectrum disorder or a physical disability were invited to take part in a virtual lunchtime conference.
The activity provided an opportunity for the participants and the two speakers from the Multidisciplinary Services and Intellectual Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Physical Disability Programs Directorate (MS-IDASDPDP), to engage in meaningful and constructive discussions. The day-to-day realities, needs and insights of the caregivers were brought to light, resulting, among other things, in advice, strategies and resources being shared.
Congratulations to social worker Arielle Segal and Elizabeth Bellei, a manager with the Intensive Behavioural Intervention Program, both with the CIUSSS de l’Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal’s MS-IDASDPDP, for having organized this event, which was of great value to the participants.
