On September 26, the Food Services Department at St. Mary’s Hospital Centre joined forces with Aliments du Québec and the Carrefour de l'Industrie Bioalimentaire de l'Île de Montréal (CIBÎM) to promote local food during the “Institutions Eat Local!” campaign.
The cafeteria featured a diverse and mouth-watering selection of local products on its menu such as kombucha from Club Kombucha, empanadas from Che and vegan sandwiches from Végane57. These products, made with fresh ingredients sourced from in and around the Montréal area, were a huge hit.
In recognition of our efforts, the hospital received a “Coup de cœur” award and a $500 prize.
