September 10 — World Suicide Prevention Day

[Translate to English:]

September 10 marks the 20th iteration of World Suicide Prevention Day. Creating Hope Through Action is the theme for this worldwide event, and serves as a reminder that our actions can provide hope to those who are struggling.

When it comes to suicide prevention, taking action is also engaging in self-care. That is why we are inviting you to take part in Ravive ta flamme (Rekindle your flame). On September 10, we encourage you to rekindle your internal flame in an effort to keep hope alive. Help us prevent suicide from even being an option and pledge to ask for help if ever you feel distressed.

How can I participate?

Think of people you can confide in and turn to for help should the need arise.

Identify activities that help you feel better when you are having difficulty coping.

If you want, share your answers on social media by using #RaviveTaFlamme

Invite your loved ones to take part in the challenge as well.

To be sure that you don’t miss out on anything, follow the Association québécoise de prévention du suicide’s (AQPR) Facebook event.
