Battery running low? No worries!
To give our users a better experience, portable chargers for mobile devices are now available to rent in the Emergency Department waiting rooms at:
- Lakeshore General Hospital;
- St. Mary’s Hospital Centre;
- Hôpital de LaSalle.
This easy-to-use service, provided by third-party supplier, lets users to charge their mobile telephone or device easily, independently, and at low cost during their hospital stay.
How does it work?
The service is quick and easy to use:
- Scan the QR code on the charging station.
- Open the app and follow the instructions to unlock a portable charger.
- Charge your device.
- Return the device to the station once your device is charged.
No assistance from hospital personnel is needed.
Clear instructions are posted next to the charging stations. Instructions are also available through the app.
A service that provides peace of mind
This project delivers a practical solution to a real need by helping users stay connected, particularly during unplanned visits or longer Emergency Department wait times.
While the charging stations are located in the Emergency Department, you can take the portable chargers with you throughout the facility.
This service is currently being offered as part of a pilot project at these three hospitals. Depending on user feedback and experiences, this service could eventually be made available in other sectors or facilities.
