What is the training?

It is a skills training certificate in Support for Assistive Services in Health and Social Services Institutions (STC 4270).  

This vocational training program will prepare you to work as an orderly (a job title commonly known by its French acronym “PAB”) or as a health and social services aide, primarily in long-term care facilities (CHSLD) within our CIUSSS.

What are the pre-requisites for admission to the program?

Eligibility requirements:

  • Have completed the equivalent of Secondary 3 in French, English and Mathematics;
  • Have completed French Language Proficiency Level 7 at minimum;
  • Be a permanent resident, Canadian citizen or accepted refugee with a valid open work permit for the entire duration of the cohort.

Who is offering this training program and how long is it?

This 705-hour training program, which will be offered in French, is given in partnership with the Centre de services scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys

The program starts on August 11 and ends February 26, 2026. Students are in class 30 hours a week.
