As part of our ongoing efforts to continuously improve the quality of our care and services, we will be hosting a team of surveyors from Accreditation Canada, from November 17 to 21. This will be an opportunity for us to show that we meet the highest standards of quality.
As a user or the loved one of a user, the surveyors may ask you about your personal experience with regards to the quality of care and services you received during your stay.
Here are a few examples of questions you may be asked:
- Were you given an opportunity to voice your needs during your stay?
- Were you involved in decision-making with regards to your care?
- Did you feel safe in the setting where you received care or services?
- Were you asked to actively participate in infection prevention, such as regular hand washing, for example?
- Were you given clear and easy-to-understand information about the medication that was given to you and its possible side effects?
