A Prestigious Appointment for Dr. Geneviève Richer!

On Friday, June 6, Dr. Geneviève Richer, Director of Medical and Professional Services at Ste. Anne’s Hospital, was promoted to the rank of Honorary Colonel of the 2nd Field Artillery Regiment. This appointment is a testament to her exceptional contribution to the well-being of the veterans who reside at this facility, which has been in operation for more than a hundred years.

Dr. Richer, who has been caring for our war heroes for over 30 years, headed the medical team that accompanied the Canadian delegation on a pilgrimage to the Netherlands this past May to mark the 80th anniversary of the country’s liberation.

Many took the opportunity to pay tribute to Dr. Richer’s unwavering commitment during an intimate ceremony that included:  veteran residents and employees from Ste. Anne’s Hospital, members of the 2nd Field Artillery Regiment, the Royal Canadian Legion and the Quebec Veterans Foundation, friends, and many others. Expressions of appreciation were given by some of the participants.

Our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Richer!
