73rd Annual Mental Health Week—Compassion Connects!

Mental Health Week is a transformative social campaign aimed at raising public awareness and challenging beliefs and perceptions around mental health. It promotes behaviours and attitudes that contribute to well-being and help to maintain good mental health. It also serves to foster a growing culture of understanding and acceptance. This year, a number of stakeholders at our CIUSSS have chosen to take part in this inspiring movement. Here are some of the events that are planned for this week:

The Monarques Project
May 8 and 9
Ste. Anne’s Hospital

This work, produced by the Théâtre des Petites Lanternes, touches on the many challenges faced by military and law enforcement personnel, as well as their families and friends. The five actors on stage give voice to hundreds of people by showing us five lives whose stories depict the daily lives of those people. Each is affected in a different way by stress-related injuries and post-traumatic stress.
