Facilities

Please note: Wearing a mask is now optional in our facilities, for healthcare workers as well as users, companions and visitors, but remains mandatory in the following situations:

Health conditions
  • If you have symptoms of respiratory infection or gastroenteritis, please postpone your visit. If this is not possible, please proceed with hand hygiene and wear a mask as soon as you enter one of our facilities.
  • Wearing a mask is recommended for people whose health is at risk.
Clinical areas (care units, emergency, open ambulatory clinics) that receive users with one or more criteria of vulnerability, such as:
  • Hemato-oncology patients;
  • Babies in the nursery;
  • Patients with severe immunosuppression (transplant patients, those undergoing active chemotherapy, etc.);
  • Users in hemato-oncology or with severe immunosuppression receiving treatment in hemodialysis units.
OR
  • On any unit experiencing a respiratory infection outbreak;
  • As directed by the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Service of the Montréal West Island CIUSSS.
