A COVID-19 booster dose is recommended for the following groups if they have never had COVID-19:
- Those living in CHSLDs, PSRs or other group settings with a high proportion of elderly and vulnerable individuals
- Those aged 60 years and up
- Those aged 5 years and up who are considered to be at high risk for complications
- Healthcare workers
- Pregnant women
- Adults living in isolated and remote areas
A booster dose is also recommended for those 5 years of age and up who are immunocompromised or on dialysis, regardless of whether or not they have been infected with COVID-19.
The recommended interval between the last COVID-19 dose is six months or more.
Booking an appointment
Those concerned can schedule an appointment online through Clic Santé.
Anyone needing assistance to make an appointment can call 514-644‑4545.
As in previous vaccination campaigns, teams will be deployed to the various residential settings such as the residential and long-term care facilities (CHSLDs) and private seniors’ residences (PSRs). As a result, these populations do not need to schedule an appointment on Clic Santé.
