Does your work put you in contact with informal caregivers? The CIUSSS de l’Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal invites you to take part in a webinar entitled Présentation de deux outils d’évaluation des risques et des besoins des personnes proches aidantes, taking place on April 22 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (French only).
This webinar is an opportunity for participants to learn about two tools, the AIDE-Proches (C.A.R.E. Tool) and the Grille de dépistage auprès des personnes proches aidantes (Caregiver Risk Screen). The session will also cover the context behind the tools’ update and objectives, along with a discussion on the importance of assessing caregivers’ needs.
Invited Speakers:
Nancy Guberman is a retired professor of Social Work who taught at the Université de Québec à Montréal and past Scientific Director of the Centre de recherche et d’expertise en gérontologie sociale (CREGÉS). She is the lead researcher on the project that produced both tools being presented.
Mathilde Pouliot is Coordinator, Domain of Expertise for Caregiving, CREGÉS. She has collaborated on several ministerial mandates, on informal caregiving, including one that resulted in the revised versions of both tools being presented.
This event is presented by the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS) Community of Practice on Informal Caregiving, in collaboration with CREGÉS. It follows the publication of the MSSS reference framework Reconnaître les personnes proches aidantes comme partenaires pour mieux les soutenir.
