From November 2 to 6, our organization will welcome a team of Accreditation Canada surveyors as part of our continuous commitment to improving the quality of care and services.
This visit is an opportunity to assess how well our organization meets recognized standards for quality, safety, and user experience. It is also a chance to highlight the work of our teams and our commitment to providing high-quality care and services.
User Experience
During their visit, the surveyors may meet with users or their loved ones to learn about their experiences with the care and services they received.
These conversations help better understand the user experience and identify the elements that contribute to the quality of care and services.
Here are some examples of the questions they may ask:
- Were you given an opportunity to express your needs during your stay?
- Were you involved in decisions about your care or services?
- Did you feel safe in the setting where you received care or services?
- Were you given information about ways to help prevent infections, such as the importance of hand hygiene?
- Were the medications you received and their possible side effects explained to you in clear and easy-to-understand terms?
