Keep your distance from the flu

Every year, flu season comes along and its complications leave many people of our high-risk populations. This infection is caused by the influenza virus and a simple vaccination can offer you the necessary protection to resist it.

The Montréal West Island Integrated University Health and Social Services Center (MWI IUHSSC) offers flu shot starting
November 1st, 2016

The vaccination is recommended and free for:

  • people aged 60 and over;
  • people living with chronic illnesses;
  • children aged 6 to 23 months;
  • healthy pregnant women in their 2nd or 3rd trimester;
  • people in close contact with these groups and with babies under 6 months;
  • healthcare workers.

The vaccination campaign will be held at different sites in the community.
