When you come for your appointment, please bring the following with you:
- Your health insurance card
- Your immunization record
- The confirmation number for your appointment
- A mask or face covering
- Wear a short-sleeved shirt
Plan your travel time accordingly and arrive 5 minutes before your appointment. We reserve the right to cancel your appointment if you are late.
If you have an immunization record that is from somewhere other than Québec:
- Make sure that it is available in either English or French. Otherwise, bring a translated copy to give to the reception desk at your CLSC.
- For simple translations, Google Translate is useful as the tool supports over 100 languages.
Please note that:
- Children 14 years of age and under must be accompanied by a parent (or guardian) or have the written consent of a parent (or guardian) with them at the time of their appointment.
- Individuals who are incapacitated must have the written consent of their legal representative or the curator at the time of the appointment.
After you have received the vaccine, plan to spend 15 minutes in the waiting room to make sure that there are no adverse effects.
What you should know?
The flu is a respiratory infection that spreads very easily. It is caused by influenza viruses.
In Québec, the flu comes around every year, just as it does elsewhere in the world. In Québec, flu season usually runs from the end of fall to early spring.
The duration and exact timing of flu season can vary. In other words, it can start earlier or later and be shorter or longer depending on the year.
