I’m a young person or care for one

About Us

If you’re 12 to 25 years old, Aire ouverte is for you. You can come with or without an appointment. We’ll meet with you in person, by phone, or online. It’s free and confidential. Our caseworkers are also out in the community (schools and partners).

You can talk to us about mental health (anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts), physical health (nursing care, medical requisitions), sexual health (STBBI, contraception, identity and orientation), addictions (alcohol, drugs, video games, online), difficulties (social, scholastic, professional, and more)!

Making an appointment

Depending on the facility, you can write or call us and a caseworker will call you back.

What to expect during your first appointment

When you arrive (or call), a caseworker will speak with you to understand your situation and work with you to figure out the next steps. You’re welcome to come back, but we can also refer you to the right resources, if that’s what you need. You don’t need a medical referral.

Referral to the appropriate resources

Depending on your needs, we can direct you toward services at the CIUSSS (such as clinics, mental health, addictions) or local community resources. We will provide the level of support that suits you. This can include preparing you for a first appointment with another professional, contacting other services on your behalf, or accompanying you in person. It’s up to you, and we will adapt to your situation!
